Menarini Diagnósticos presents you the solution that will transport your laboratory to a new dimension: Mindray BC-6800 is the Hematology analyzer which will fulfill your needs and exceed your expectations, meeting the highest laboratory standards and ensuring an outstanding cost/performance ratio. Besides high accuracy CBC and WBC 5-Diff routine results, BC-6800 also places at your disposal information intended for research and broader clinical application, obtained through SF Cube technology.

SF Cube is an innovative technology of blood cell analysis for Reticulocyte, Nucleated Red Blood Cell and WBC 5-Diff counts, effective in abnormal cell flagging. By interaction with reagents, target cells are subject to 3D analysis using bi-angular laser scatter signals and fluorescence. The 3D scattergrams enhance the ability to identify and differentiate cell populations, in particular abnormal clusters not detected with other technologies.

SF Cube Cell Analysis Technology

  • WBC diff analysis and flagging with high degree of accuracy according to size, cell complexity and DNA/RNA information;
  • Count of immature granulocytes and cell populations with high fluorescence, such as blasts and atypical lymphocytes;
  • WBC count in dedicated BASO channel and after comparison with count on other 3 channels (NRBC, RET, DIFF) to eliminate interferences from NRBC, platelet clumps, lyse-resistant RBC and lipidic particles;
  • NRBC count in dedicated channel;
  • RET count in dedicated channel with immature cell information (MFR, HFR), which assists in early diagnosis of anemia and monitoring of bone marrow response to hematinic therapy;
  • Optical platelet count in RET channel to eliminate interferences from microcytic and fragmented RBC, platelet clumps and giant platelets, to ensure better accuracy and sensitivity;
  • Count of RBC infected (InR#,‰) by Plasmodium vivax or Plasmodium falciparum (malaria);
  • Determination of immature platelet fraction (IPF), an indicator of thrombopoietic activity in bone marrow, in RET channel;
  • Determination of Mean Reticulocyte Volume (MRV) and Hemoglobin Reticulocyte Concentration (RHE) which provide relevant information in diagnosis of anemia type, monitoring and treatment of iron deficiency anemia.

Focusing Flow-DC method

  • Minimizing of interference encountered in histograms generated by DC technology to obtain more reliable MCV, RDW-CV and RDW-SD results.
